Job Description
Join our team as a Strategic Execution Project Manager within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO), where you will be instrumental in advancing business priorities and delivering key capabilities to a wide array of stakeholders.
In this role, you will coordinate and execute projects while building strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and senior management. Collaborating closely with leaders across Business Controls, Technology, Operations, Firmwide partners, and Business Management, you will ensure successful project outcomes.
Your ability to cultivate these relationships will be essential to driving the success of our initiatives. The CDAO is committed to delivering high-quality, compliant data to our internal clients, empowering them to fully leverage its potential.
Our Strategic Execution team ensures consistency and standardization across the global CDAO, providing comprehensive project management and reporting capabilities for the CDAO portfolio.
Job responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing roadblocks and implementing strategies to minimize impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and vendor products for project implementation.
- Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project plans using Agile and traditional methodologies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and scope adherence.
- Facilitate resolution of key issues and risks, escalating when necessary.
- Support operational and business change readiness by defining and documenting new operating models.
- Assist in resource allocation and management for project efficiency.
- Develop and deliver project communications to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes.
- Lead project working forums and steering forums.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities.
- Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle management, including influencing decision makers and adapting to changes as business needs evolve.
- Effective communicator with excellent visualization, written and verbal communication skills, including advanced skills on Powerpoint.
- Technical fluency, with ability to communicate technical processes simply.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent tasks to completion.
- Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving business problems and challenges.
- Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues, often under tight business-driven deadlines.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in data management and/or data governance, regulatory initiatives.
- Proficiency with planning and tracking tools such as Monday.com, MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate impact using data.
- Ability to think laterally and convey an understanding of the big picture.
