ABOUT THE JOB

Gunzilla Games is looking for a Senior Technical Artist - VFX/Shaders to join us in working on OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Extraction Battle Royale shooter, currently available as Early Access on PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series X|S, and PC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with VFX and Shaders in Unreal or similar engines to create new features.
  • Create and optimize Niagara Systems.
  • Take responsibility for the VFX pipeline, briefing, mentoring/informing VFX Artists on best practices, validation/reviews and keeping documentation up to date.
  • Confidence in the Material Graph inside Unreal to create any shaders and VFX, and knowledge on how to optimize for performance.
  • Working with other departments such as Design, VFX and Env Art to support shaders and VFX.
  • Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our VFX pipeline.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with VFX and Shaders in Unreal or similar engines, preferably Niagara.
  • Able to author module scripts.
  • Experience with Blueprints
  • Experience with Unreal Insights or any profiling tools such as Pix or RenderDoc to diagnose VFX/Rendering performance bottlenecks
  • Previously shipped AAA title as a VFX Artist.
