Department OverviewJoin our team as a System Test Engineer and take on the critical responsibility of ensuring the quality of Motorola communication systems, a lifeline for Public Safety users. You will play a pivotal role in testing and assuring the operational integrity of our P25 mobile communication infrastructure. In this position, you'll be instrumental in executing comprehensive manual system-level test scenarios, diagnosing issues within IT networks, and validating the integrity of technical solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance the effectiveness and reliability of systems that save lives.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
Drive Quality Assurance: Actively execute a wide range of system test scenarios, ensuring our mobile communication infrastructure (P25 standards) meets the highest levels of reliability.
Become a Problem Solver: Enhance and perform in-depth root cause analysis to swiftly identify and resolve various system issues.
Validate Innovative Solutions: Rigorously test and validate solutions designed to overcome challenging technical problems in large-scale IT networks.
Master Complex Systems: Leverage your knowledge of IT networks configuration, Routing Protocols, Server Virtualization, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Wireless technologies.
Utilize Advanced Diagnostics: Employ system engineering diagnostic techniques, including network sniffers (e.g., Wireshark), to pinpoint and address issues effectively.
Basic Requirements
Knowledge of software test methodologies.
Practical, hands-on understanding of computer networks and IT infrastructure.
A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute within a global team setting.
Good communication (English) and analytical problem-solving skills.
The minimum requirement for this position is a 4/5 part-time schedule (32 hours per week) throughout the entire duration of the internship!
Availability to work 2 or 3 days per week in our office in Kraków (Czerwone Maki 82)
At least one year cooperation, Contract of Employment only.
Following skills will be a plus:
Prior experience in manual system testing, particularly within telecommunications or critical infrastructure.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, such as JIRA, TestRail, etc. (or other similar tools)
In-depth knowledge of telecommunication standards relevant to public safety or mobile networks.
Experience working within Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Practical experience administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows server environments.
