What’s on offer?

With the continued growth of our business, we are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Surfacing Supervisor to join our productive Infrastructure Services business based in Ormeau. You will report directly to the Surfacing Co-ordinator and work closely with the Project Management team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure crew work outputs exceed client expectations, are well planned and highly productive.

  • Liaise with contracting, sub contractors and clients so that programmed works can be planned well in advance.

  • Plan for the proposed works on a job-by-job basis ensuring the works, safety, traffic control, quality assurance, testing, milling, line marking, and mobile equipment needs and agreed outputs are understood by all crew team members and sub-contractors.

  • Supervise crew and site to ensure key responsibilities are met.

  • Report and monitor workplace hazards, risks, issues and incidents.

  • Contribute to development of SWMS, attend toolbox and daily prestart meetings where required.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience supervising Asphalt crews with proven commitment to team management and site safety.

  • An ability to understand what is required, set the direction and communicate the plan day to day to the crew.

  • An ability to work within tight deadlines and a drive to build, create and produce outputs to high standards.

  • Be highly organised, possess strong communication skills and be able to influence a team.

  • Computer literacy and the ability to read basic contract terms and standard industry specifications and quality system's needs. Appropriate training and support will be given.

  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required and hold a valid Drivers’ Licence.
