We have a fantastic opportunity for an impactful Supplier Quality Leader to join our Integrated Airspace Protection Systems UK (IAS) team. IAS delivers coordinated end to end protection capability to the international market.

The Supplier Quality Leader (SuQL) is the dedicated Quality & Customer Satisfaction partner for the Procurement functional area. He or she improves supplier Quality performance, working closely with representatives from the Procurement functional area on cross-functional and recurring issues, from selecting suppliers to evaluating their performance.

Day to day you will:

The Supplier Quality Leader proactively supports: -

  • Quality assessment in Supplier selection (upstream).

  • Reduce non quality due to internal (Thales) issues.

  • Improve Supplier Quality monitoring.

  • Product/Process qualification.

  • Engage with the Procurement Leadership Team & Align with their transformation plans.

  • Lead Supplier Quality Improvement Plans (SQIP) for SNCD and report progress via scorecard, metrics.

  • Deliver regular training to QAMs in best practices for Supply Chain Quality & Lessons Learnt from investigations.

  • Support the improvement of Root Cause Analysis and Cost of Non Quality (CoNQ)

  • Deploy and manage group or specific supplier audit plan

About you

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. They will be skilled at driving change by delivering high-quality presentations to senior stakeholders and have strong expertise in data analysis, problem-solving, project management, and organisational planning. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate effective risk and opportunity management with robust mitigation strategies, strong relationship management capabilities across all business levels, and solid business acumen in supply chain, industrial operations, logistics, and manufacturing.
