We are searching for the best and brightest to join a culture that is open and flexible, inclusive and positive. At Vantor, you’ll get the chance to grow, develop your skills, and collaborate with talented people who make a real difference for our clients worldwide.
From our R&D hub in Ebbepark, Linköping, with around 80 engineers, we develop cutting-edge technology to deliver unparalleled, global, and precise 3D geospatial data and software. We’re building the Globe in 3D: providing decision-makers and analysts with the entire world in highly accurate, immersive 3D models for telecommunications, emergency response and defense and intelligence.
About the Summer Internship
The summer internship is carried out in two teams of 2–3 students, where you will be an important contributor in solving a shared, real-world engineering challenge. You will work closely with experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in a professional R&D environment.
Both projects will be carried out on-site at Vantor’s office in Linköping, Sweden.
Team 1 – Quality Metrics for Global 3D Map Data
This team will focus on defining, measuring, and evaluating quality metrics for large-scale 3D geospatial data covering the entire globe. Developing robust and reliable 3D products require extensive testing and clearly measurable results.
The outcome of this project will be directly integrated into our engineering workflows and used for continuous testing in our daily development processes.
Team 2 – Deployment and Continuous Delivery
This team will focus on deployment: packaging, delivering, and installing our software products in a Kubernetes-based environment. The work includes building and improving pipelines for continuous deployment, with a strong emphasis on automation, reliability, and scalability.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for Master’s students who are currently pursuing a degree in:
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Image Processing and/or Computer Vision
Data Science or other relevant technical fields
You should have a strong interest in software development, algorithms, and problem-solving, and enjoy working collaboratively in a team setting. We would like you to have knowledge and experience in C++ and Python.
If you have a particular interest in one of the two teams described above, please indicate this in your application.
What We Offer
Hands-on work with cutting-edge technology and real production systems
A collaborative, inclusive, and innovative engineering culture
Close mentorship from experienced engineers
The opportunity to contribute to technology that directly impacts the future of 3D geospatial data, autonomous systems, and advanced analytics
