Hello! We're Teya.

Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.

At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.

We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.

We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.

We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.

Become a part of our story.

We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.

Your Mission

We are seeking a proactive and organised Strategy and Transformation Associate to join our Strategy and Transformation team, operating within the Office of the CEO at Teya. This full-time role (4 days a week in our new Blackfriars office) offers a unique opportunity to support strategic initiatives that drive Teya’s mission to empower small and growing businesses across Europe. Reporting to the Strategy and Transformation Principal, you will work closely with an 8-person Office of the CEO team in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, collaborating with internal stakeholders across functions to deliver impactful results.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for fintech and small businesses, eager to contribute to Teya’s growth through research, meeting coordination, and data-driven analysis. You’ll play a key role in shaping strategic outcomes, with exposure to senior leadership and opportunities for mentorship and future cross-functional placements.

Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, market intelligence, fintech trend research, and customer insights to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Produce clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders.

  • Support the annual planning cycle and perform ad-hoc research for high-priority projects.

Meeting Coordination

  • Manage meeting logistics, including scheduling across time zones, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items.

  • Ensure effective communication and follow-up to keep strategic initiatives on track.

Data Analysis and Modelling

  • Build and maintain Excel models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance tracking to support strategic planning.

  • Assist with data visualisation for presentations, leveraging tools like PowerPoint and, where applicable, PowerBI.

Project Support

  • Provide analytical and administrative support for key transformation initiatives.

  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and coordinate with internal teams to track and meet project deadlines.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the broader Strategy team and other functions (e.g., Product, Operations, Credit, Finance, Legal, People) on cross-functional projects and deliverables.

  • Act as a proactive point of contact for internal stakeholders, managing requests with professionalism and attention to detail.

Your Story

  • 1–3 years of professional experience post-university (any degree discipline), preferably with prior experience in consulting (MBB), banking, fintech, or other financial services start-ups or scale-up companies.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate reports.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., forecasting, scenario analysis, pivot tables) and Microsoft Word; familiarity with SQL and PowerBI (or other data visualisation tools) is a plus.

  • Enthusiasm for fintech and financial services, with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

  • Collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in a dynamic team environment.

  • Ability to work 4 days a week on-site at our Blackfriars office, with flexibility for occasional out-of-hours tasks to support our operations.

  • Resourceful and adaptable, with a proactive approach to anticipating challenges and delivering solutions.

The Perks

  • We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long it suits both you and your team;

  • Physical and mental health support through our partnership with GymPass giving free access to over 1,500 gyms in the UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation sessions, digital fitness and nutrition apps;

  • Our company offers extended and improved maternity and paternity leave choices, giving employees more flexibility and support;

  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme;

  • Health and Life Insurance;

  • Pension Scheme;

  • 25 days of Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays);

  • Office snacks every day;

  • Friendly, comfortable and informal office environment in Central London.

Teya is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
