This role sits within Business Banking (BB) Technology, providing technology solutions to Business Banking domains across Business Banking and CommSec. Empowering businesses and people to succeed with tomorrow’s technology, our purpose is to become the leading digital business bank, powered by the next horizon of technology.

Within BB Technology, the Customer Channel and Data Domain focuses on technology enablement of digital engagement channels, contributing to strategic BB and Customer NPS +30 outcomes.

As a Staff Engineer and Squad Tech Lead, you will be leading and co-ordinating the BB CRM and Integration technology needs, instilling a growth mindset and innovative ways of working.  You’ll play an important role in steering the organisation by providing expert advice and hands-on delivery relating to technology, solution design and architecture, and managing dependencies with cross-divisional technology teams. You will bring a perfect blend of technical leadership and expertise and will be responsible for shaping the evolution of the technical squad by contributing to the technology strategy, defining delivery roadmaps, and developing technical solutions in a SaaS and cloud-based environment, building out the core technology and domain knowledge required for the team.

Tech skills:

Must Have:

  • Lead the design and implementation of CRM Salesforce solutions

  • Strong understanding of CRM business processes

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide scalable CRM solutions

  • Develop and enforce Salesforce best practices and governance policies

  • Experience working with Mulesoft for CRM Salesforce Integration - API, Event Streaming Integrations

  • Experience working with Kafka and API integrations

  • Technical background in building data integration, data mapping, data quality and performance tuning

  • Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, scheduling tools, logging and monitoring tools (TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Snyk and Sonarqube)

  • Ability to build solutions to meet the highest possible quality standards while simultaneously balancing security, performance, availability, and maintainability concerns

  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly

  • Good team player, interpersonal skills and strong communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Banking and financial services experience in a complex environment

  • Experience in testing automation

  • Understanding of BIAN Service Domains and Data as a Product concepts

  • Experience in data warehousing and data mart build in Teradata, Oracle or similar RDBMS
