Position/Assignment Summary :

Ensure highest level of performance and security collaboratively with the infrastructure team, through strong leadership and open communication. Work closely with other IT team members to ensure optimal teamwork and performance. Implement processes for maintaining a stable environment. Work closely with various vendors to ensure prompt support and resolution to issues. Oversee the research, evaluation and integration of new technologies and approaches. Establish, develop and maintain relations and communications with vendors to better understand how they can help us to move forward.

Key Accountabilities/Statement of Work :

- On premise and cloud base virtualization Services

- Hardware Infrastructure Management

- Network and Security Data Center Operations

- Hardware and Platform Patching

- Infrastructure DR and systems backups

- Automation of systems

- Monitoring and incident response

Required Education, Experience and Competencies

- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experience

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

- Expertise and Proficiency in VMware ESXi/vSphere with minimum 5 years of experience

- Expertise and proficiency in provisioning and administering public cloud solutions

Desired Education, Experience and Competencies

- Extensive knowledge of IP networking, Design, IP addressing, DNS (local and Internet), Routing, Switching, VLANs, etc.

- Experience and competencies in IT Cybersecurity protection and best practices.

- Experience with public cloud administration and best practice - AWS/Azure

- Experience with fiber channel and iSCSI Storage Area Networks (e.g Nimble,  Dell EMC) and Hyperconverged infrastructures (e.g Nutanix).

- Proven Network/Server Troubleshooting skills in mixed Linux and Windows environment.

- Minimum 5 years of experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere.

- Strong Linux skills (e.g. CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, Linux).

- Strong Windows Servers skills (Windows 2012 or Later)

- Linux and Windows scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell).

- Ability to manage small projects

- Excellent teamwork and people skills, motivated self-starter

- Minimum of 5 years supporting 24/7 production class data centers
