Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly accountable and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and committed to accuracy. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams, and a passion for maintaining financial integrity.
Additional Information:
This role will observe a 5 day in office model and be based in Austin, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in daily accounting processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and documentation.
- Review general ledger details for completeness and financial accuracy, addressing discrepancies proactively.
- Monitor account activity and identify unexpected fluctuations, investigating root causes.
- Post transactions to the general ledger via sub-ledger entries (accounts payable, asset management, etc.), ensuring compliance with accrual accounting principles.
- Build strong working relationships between corporate, regional, operational, and accounts receivable teams to enhance financial processes.
- Provide guidance to business partners on accounting policies, procedures, and system updates.
- Generate and distribute accounting reports to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
- Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests, providing insightful financial analysis.
What We’re Looking For:
Accounting & Analytical Skills
- Deep understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Strong grasp of financial statements, balance sheets, general ledger, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Workday Financials is a plus.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment preferred.
