Working to support our community of 2000+ independent designers from around the globe, we connect customers with ethically sourced fashion, design, home and wellness through our online marketplace and flagship stores in London, New York City and Los Angeles. Reporting to the VP of Brand Partnerships, the Senior Acquisition Manager in our Brand Partnerships team will play a vital role in the next stage of growth for our award-winning marketplace. You will oversee the first stage in a brand’s partnership with Wolf & Badger, responsible for how we find and retain brands. This is an exciting time to join the team, as we look to review our current ways of working. We are looking for an experienced self-starter with the relevant experience and a strategic mindset to transform and optimise the brand acquisition experience, evolving the way we find, select, approach and partner with the world’s best independent brands.

This role is located in our Soho, London HQ and will work with teams across the US and UK. We work hybrid with current requirements of 3+ days per week onsite attendance. 

Your responsibilities will include the requirement to:

  • Lead and help grow a multinational team of 4 acquisition specialists at various levels (1 in NY and 3 in London) from Associate to Manager
  • Maintain functional oversight and foster continuous advancements in critical brand acquisition areas, including:
    • How we attract the best independent brands, building awareness and driving organic applications through our website, as well as encouraging referrals
    • How we engage our partner brands with the right messaging and materials to ensure their smooth onboarding to the platform if approved to join
    • Integrating tools and process improvements to monitor KPIs and build data-driven insights to help scale our acquisition efforts of the best independent brands in new and existing markets, including the EU & US
    • Ensuring brand success and happiness through continuous improvement of our processes and ensuring a fair and transparent acquisition process
  • Close collaboration with a number of other teams, particularly Ecommerce Trading and Marketing as well as working closely with the rest of the Brands team to share and gather insights in support of a ‘test and learn’ method of brand acquisition, revenue expansion and retention of our 2,000+ brand partners 
  • Report to senior stakeholders on acquisition team performance and progress, including monitoring key KPIs and sharing insights and educating the business on findings
  • Use your analytical skills to monitor performance and trends to adapt the team’s approach as necessary, ensuring we continue to attract and onboard the very best independent ethical brands to our platform
  • Build and coach a world-class Brand Acquisition team to be highly effective members of the organization and hit personal and team goals in order to help drive sustainable business development and growth
Requirements
  • Natural alignment with our mission and desire to work with responsibly-led fashion, design and creative businesses and founders
  • Significant (ideally 5+ years) experience in business development, acquisition or buying, for a high growth marketplace, retail/ecommerce scale-up, SaaS or similar technology-based platform
  • Exemplary communication skills and emotional intelligence, allowing for successful relationship building and leveraging a wide network spanning brands, direct reports, executive and peers
  • Commercially minded and data fluent, capable of setting metrics and monitoring progress against objectives
  • Can-do attitude and detailed-oriented, able to define and maintain a high level of service to our brands and hold our team to the highest standards
  • Solid experience working with CRM systems (Hubspot experience a major plus)
  • Team player and resilient in the face of challenges, ambiguity, and change
  • Empathetic and have the ability to take initiative in doing the right thing for our brands, teams and customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
