What We'll Bring:

This role for Senior Architect, Application Dev & Design to operate as a technical authority on one of our core teams responsible for enabling new features and optimizing strategic solutions within TransUnion’s Global Decisioning Platforms.
As a Senior Architect, you will have both the accountability and freedom to design and build highly scalable systems that are taking TransUnion to the next level. You will own architectural direction across cloud-native platforms, microservices ecosystems, and enterprise application development — setting the standard for engineering excellence across agile delivery teams.

What You'll Bring:

How You’ll Contribute ​

• Own and drive enterprise-wide architectural vision for TransUnion’s Global Decisioning Platforms
• Define architectural roadmaps aligned to business strategy, scalability, and technology modernization goals
• Lead cloud-native solution design across microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and platform integrations
• Establish and govern architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails adopted across engineering teams
• Lead service decomposition and domain modeling — defining bounded contexts and microservice boundaries
• Facilitate Architecture Design Reviews (ADRs) and provide authoritative technical guidance
• Drive cloud infrastructure architecture leveraging AWS/Azure services across compute, storage, messaging, and observability
• Act as the final technical decision-maker on platform design, technology selection, and integration patterns
• Evaluate and champion emerging technologies that advance platform capabilities and competitive positioning
• Serve as a technical mentor and coach to senior and principal engineers across teams
• Partner with Security, Compliance, and Product leadership to ensure solutions meet enterprise governance and regulatory standards
• Represent architecture in executive-level discussions, translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes

​What You’ll Bring

• 15+ years of software development experience with 7+ years in a senior architecture capacity
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft .NET Technologies, C#, ASP.NET Core
• Deep expertise in SQL Server, relational database architecture, performance tuning, and data modeling
• Mastery of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices evolution strategies
• Strong command of JavaScript / TypeScript and modern API integration patterns
• Proven track record designing systems with carrier-grade availability, fault tolerance, and elastic scalability
• Expert-level experience architecting enterprise solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Deep proficiency with cloud-native services: API Gateway, Lambda/Functions, EKS/AKS, SQS/Service Bus, S3/Blob Storage, CloudFront
• Strong command of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation
• Architecture ownership of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and platform engineering workflows
• Expert-level mastery of Microservice Architecture patterns — CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga, Strangler Fig, Circuit Breaker, Bulkhead
• Deep experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or cloud-native messaging at scale
• Advanced expertise in containerization and orchestration — Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Experience governing service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and enterprise API management platforms
• Strong API-first design leadership across REST, GraphQL, and gRPC
• Demonstrated ability to set technical direction and influence at the VP and C-suite level
• Track record of building and scaling engineering capability through architecture governance and mentorship
• Strong systems-thinking with the ability to balance technical idealism with pragmatic delivery
• Experience leading architecture in Agile/SAFe at enterprise scale
• Exceptional written and verbal communication — able to author Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), RFCs, and technical strategies
