The GCOA team is responsible for finding, assessing, and developing solutions within Lilly’s business service towers, and consulting with teams on the most effective approach to leveraging technology to automate and enhance their processes and procedures. Solutions can range from RPA to Power Platform to analytics.
This role is responsible for working on data projects as the finance organisation is putting a greater emphasis on data analysis. The role will be working collaboratively with other members of the team and provide expertise in data modelling, schema design, data visualisation and analytics.
The individual will be a proactive and driven self-starter with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and from a mixture of technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models using modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and analytics goals.
- Design and implement intuitive Power Bi reports and enhance with advanced analytics
- Build and maintain datasets that integrate SAP and non-SAP financial data sources, enabling seamless access for reporting and analytics.
- Ensure metadata is accurately captured and maintained for lineage and governance.
- Promote data accessibility by developing datasets that are secure, reliable, and easy to consume across business units.
- Work closely with finance teams, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet operational and strategic needs.
- Adhere to enterprise data standards and governance frameworks.
Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in data modelling and schema design, preferably within Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
- 3+ years' hands-on experience in developing and operationalizing analytical models
- 3+ years' experience in data visualization in Power Bi
- Skilled in leveraging DAX in Power BI, ensuring scalable and responsive Power BI reports across large datasets.
- Strong understanding of financial data structures and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with SAP S4, Ariba, and other finance-related data sources is a plus

Education
- Degree in sciences or quantitative discipline i.e., Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or Computer Sciences from Tier-I institute. MBA/post-graduation will be preferred.
