IS THIS SOMETHING THAT INTERESTS YOU?

The Solutions Engineer will be part of a new Foods Connected Professional Services team, serving as a technical advisor and integration specialist throughout the entire customer journey. This role bridges the gap between Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering by ensuring customers are successfully onboarded, integrated, and enabled to achieve long-term success with our SaaS platform. The Solutions Engineer engages early in the sales cycle to scope technical requirements, leads implementation projects, and acts as the primary technical contact during deployment and integration.

Beyond implementation, the role is responsible for providing technical guidance, solution design, and enablement to customers, ensuring they can fully leverage our APIs, integrations, and workflows. The Solutions Engineer also plays a critical role in gathering feedback from customers, relaying insights to Product and Engineering, and supporting proof-of-concept builds or demos. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, consultative problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions that meet customer needs.

What you will be doing

The successful candidate will take on the following responsibilities.



  • Partner with Sales during pre-sales conversations to scope technical requirements and propose integration approaches improving our understanding of resource planning Customer projects.
  • Lead customer onboarding and manage end-to-end technical implementation projects.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during deployment, integration, and solution validation.
  • Translate customer use cases and business requirements into scalable solution designs using internal BAs to support this when required.
  • Provide customer enablement and training on APIs, data integrations, security, and workflows to internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with Engineering to resolve complex challenges.
  • Support proof-of-concept builds, demos, and technical validation for prospective and new customers.
  • Collect, document, and share customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap and product improvements.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to ensure consistent customer experience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing pre-sales activities with ongoing customer implementations.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following essential attributes:

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience in a similar position.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or Technical Account Manager).
  • Hands-on experience working with SaaS platforms, system integrations, and APIs.

Technical Skills:

To perform this job successfully, the Solutions Engineer should have experience with:

  • Strong knowledge of APIs and integration patterns, including REST and SOAP.
  • Proficiency with common data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar) for integration and automation tasks.
  • Experience with authentication and security protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML, JWT).
  • Understanding of relational databases and data workflows (SQL querying, ETL concepts).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and services (Azure, AWS or GCP).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to analyse complex systems and design scalable, reliable solutions.
