Solution Architect (Belgium - Public Sector)

  

Job Description

   

Join SUSE as a Solutions Architect and become a trusted technical advisor to our customers and partners, primarily within Brussels' public sector. You'll leverage your specialized knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native solutions to align SUSE's offerings with their unique business and technical needs. Working closely with regional sales and partner teams, you will drive technical excellence in solution design, positioning SUSE as an industry leader and empowering customers to gain a competitive edge.

What You'll Do:

  • Technical Sales Leadership: Take full ownership of the technical aspects of deal progression from qualification to closure. Champion the technical validation process through compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and proofs of concept (PoCs).

  • Customer Engagement & Advisory: Build valued relationships by deeply understanding customer technical and business needs, serving as their trusted technical advisor. Conduct thorough assessments to tailor solutions for immediate and future requirements.

  • Product Advocacy & Feedback: Act as the voice of the customer, actively gathering and communicating feedback and requirements to SUSE's Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams. Ensure customer needs are reflected in product features, updates, and messaging, facilitating feedback loops and supporting escalations to maximize value.

  • Collaboration & Go-to-Market: Collaborate with Field and Specialist Sales, Partner Ecosystem, and Customer Success teams to develop comprehensive Account Plans, driving solution adoption and ensuring customer satisfaction. Contribute to go-to-market strategies and participate in marketing efforts through presentations, blogs, and technical speaking engagements.

  • Competitive Analysis & RFI/RFP Support: Support the analysis of competitor offerings to differentiate SUSE solutions and identify key advantages. Conduct research and draft responses for the technical segments of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.

  • Knowledge Sharing & Development: Transfer knowledge to pre-sales peers through mentoring and internal education, sharing insights on product innovations and technical solutions. Proactively own your professional development, advancing your skills and deepening your expertise in the SUSE value proposition.

  • CRM Hygiene: Consistently maintain CRM hygiene by updating all activity for each opportunity, including Use Case, Success Criteria, Technical Close Status (TCS), and Next Steps in the technical close process.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: Proven experience in technical consulting, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture, specifically with enterprise software solutions.

  • Technical Expertise: Practical skills with Linux systems, open-source software, and related infrastructure solutions. Strong experience in cloud computing and container technologies like Kubernetes.

  • Communication & Presentation: Proven ability to articulate complex technical solutions clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, including CXO level, translating technical concepts into business value. Experience creating technical demonstrations and whitepapers to illustrate product value.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex technical challenges and delivering innovative, value-driven solutions.

  • Collaboration: Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and customer success teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Solution Design: Experience in designing and delivering complex enterprise solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

  • Market Insight: Proficiency in competitor analysis and solution positioning, showcasing SUSE's advantages. Exposure to the EU's public sector is an advantage.

  • Tool Proficiency: Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Clari) to manage pipelines and track technical validation

  • Languages: Fluent in both French and English.
