WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Software Engineer position is responsible for designing and implementing software solutions aimed at solving real-time, customer data delivery challenges. As a member of the "Tealium Labs" R&D team, you'll collaborate closely with talented colleagues specializing in full-stack development. You'll play a vital role in exciting projects like "Tealium BeastBot" an AI agent, "Journey Visualizer" a overhaul to our existing data flow tool, and "Tealium Tools" a framework for in-browser/platform workflows and expansion. Be prepared to contribute to the development of new products, features, and explorative projects.

Candidates in/near Reading are highly preferred for team collaboration sessions, but candidates outside the immediate area will be considered.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Be a trusted resource regarding all Tealium products and features.

  • Develop/Manage internal tool and website environments hosted on Amazon EC2, CMS systems, and various database systems.

  • Creating custom Snippets, Tools, and Standalone Applications/Services to augment the existing platform.

  • Create customized product demonstrations for projects to clients and internal resources.

  • Support Proof of Concept deployments.

  • Build integrations with 3rd-party vendors via API/SDK

  • Expand on scoping for projects

  • Digging into existing code to learn how things work

  • Data Insight queries via DB

  • QA/Testing… we need to help each other on each of our projects

  • Researching new methods and technologies to increase your own development efficiencies, as well as efficiencies for other departments

  • Hybrid Office/Remote based on collaboration sessions and workshops… we are big on using the whiteboard

WHAT YOU BRING TO TEALIUM

  • 5+ years experience with Javascript/NodeJS, and not completely opposed to looking at Java at times to see how the backend works

  • Insatiable Learning… and Application

  • A love for reverse engineering and troubleshooting existing solutions

  • Solid understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL/RDS

  • Have and can illustrate experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as EC2, S3, Redshift and Route 53

  • Best practices with multi-contributor GIT flows

  • Applied concepts of Information Security and Secure Coding Practices

  • Presentation skills demonstrate technical proficiency, digital marketing knowledge, and business and communication aptitude

  • Technically adept, self-motivated and driven by results

  • Some familiarity with Mobile and Mobile/platform apps - iOS, Android, React Native

  • Experience working with REST, SOAP and other APIs formats

  • Understanding and knowledge of Structured and Unstructured Data concepts

  • Have the ability to travel (less than 15%) for occasional offsite internal meetings… we like to get together globally 1-2x a year
