We are looking for an experienced Senior Treasury Finance Analyst – Product Control to play a critical role within our Treasury Finance function. This is a senior technical position with strong exposure across Product Control, hedge accounting, valuation control and Treasury systems, partnering closely with Front Office, Risk, Finance and Group stakeholders.

As a senior subject matter expert, you’ll be responsible for delivering high quality Treasury financial control and insight, including:
Ownership and oversight of daily and month end P&L production, independent price verification (IPV), valuation adjustments and exception management
Detailed mark to market (MtM) movement analysis, clearly attributing results to market drivers, new activity and balance sheet changes
Leading IFRS 9 hedge accounting, including designation, effectiveness testing, rebalancing and ineffectiveness measurement
Ensuring strong valuation, data and systems controls across Treasury platforms and the general ledger
Oversight of month end Product Control processes, including reconciliations, journals, trade substantiation and fair value hierarchy governance
Providing insightful commentary to senior Finance and Treasury stakeholders, including ALCO related forums
Supporting Treasury regulatory reporting, securitisation accounting and external disclosures
Acting as a key liaison with Technology and Finance Systems to improve automation, data quality and control frameworks
Contributing to Treasury Finance strategic initiatives and system change programmes
You’ll also engage with external auditors and, where required, regulatory stakeholders.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
A degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline (CA, CPA, CFA or FRM preferred)
5–8+ years’ experience in Treasury Finance, Product Control or a similar financial markets environment
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 9 hedge accounting, financial instrument valuation and Treasury products
Proven experience in P&L attribution, valuation control and balance sheet analysis
Solid understanding of financial markets, including interest rate risk, liquidity management, derivatives and funding instruments
Experience working with Treasury systems (e.g. Murex and Calypso) and Oracle or similar general ledgers
Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability
Confidence communicating complex valuation and accounting concepts to senior stakeholders
A curious mindset and genuine interest in understanding underlying drivers
Strong ownership, accountability and attention to detail
Ability to operate calmly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Excellent relationship building skills across Finance, Treasury and Risk
A collaborative, pragmatic and improvement focused approach
