About the role
The Platform Tribe creates the technology that enables Wise to move the world's money internationally. Spanning many disciplines, we work to make the business work; creating the frameworks, capabilities and tools needed to serve millions of customers.
As part of the Platform Tribe the Cloud Platform squad build the cloud-native foundation everything else sits upon. They simplify the complexity surrounding Kubernetes, service mesh, cloud networking and governance to enhance the developer experience, enabling our engineers to release new features fast and confidently, without compromising reliability and security.
We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the advancement of our Cloud Platform. In this role, you will define the product vision and strategy, and drive it through execution to achieve outcome that move a metric for our mission.
As a key part of our platform, this position requires balancing various competing priorities, such as balancing risk, governance, cost, reliability, performance, and user experience. You will be part of a wider team of Platform Product Managers, applying your product expertise to ensure the Cloud Platform Squad is consistently pursuing the most impactful opportunities in a measurable way.
Our foundational platform supports the entire software development life cycle, including Developer Experience, Reliability, Data, and Security. Often these teams will drive the requirements for the Cloud Platform, you’ll need to work closely with these teams to understand their needs and how that translates to your products.

What will you be working on

Your mission is to lead product offering of the Cloud Platform Squad in partnership with your engineering counterpart to build world-class products for our internal users.

Identify and unlock opportunities across the cloud platform domain, and inspire teams to align with your vision.

Work collaboratively with various functions across Wise to gather insights, understand user needs, and transform them into impactful products.

You will lead another product manager in the squad, sharing team responsibilities between the two of you.
Qualifications

You bring at least 4 years of experience in technical product management, ideally focused on building a cloud infrastructure product.

You have the ability to independently identify and utilize insights to uncover issues within the cloud platform domain and assess the impact of potential opportunities.

You can navigate ambiguous problem spaces and transform them into clear outcomes and manageable tasks.

You have a proven history of delivering large-scale programs that require cross-team collaboration and impact significant parts of the organization.

You understand operational challenges and can balance customer needs with those of your engineering teams.

You effectively communicate with engineers, collaborating seamlessly with them as both teammates and customers.

You communicate clearly and effectively, influence without authority, and secure buy-in for your plans from the broader organization.

You possess a strong understanding of the developer journey and can integrate governance and security controls throughout the entire software development life cycle.

Starting salary: £88,000-£110,000 + RSUs
