Position Summary: Performs financial analysis and prepares accurate, transparent and timely financial reports to support leadership in the decision making process.
Key Responsibilities:Collects, analyzes and interprets complex financial and operating data for
assigned business units and/or corporate functions.
Provides decision support to business leadership through the creation of tools,
models, presentations, and dashboards.
Prepares reports and analyses in support of monthly, quarterly and annual
financial close processes and ongoing financial activities.
Serves as a finance business partner and prepares forecasts and budgets for
assigned business units and/or functional areas.
Performs complex variance analysis and investigates irregularities; make
recommendations to correct inaccuracies.
Makes recommendations on process improvements to improve efficiencies
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification (or equivalent working experience)
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years).
Ideally part qualified (or equivalent experience)
In depth understanding of accounting/financial principles, and regulations/legal requirements
Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
Proven analytical thinking and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively
Confidence to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations
Ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and project administration skills
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
Keen to learn and develop a career in Tax
