As part of the Apply With Ease Crew of Home Buying, you will contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding, deployment, and operation. Our Lodgement & Auto-approval squad is responsible for delivering and maintaining products for lodgement and auto-approval that provide customers with seamless and fast automatic approvals in a secure manner. We orchestrate calls to different systems to deliver confident decisions at the time of submission.

You will work closely with the Squad Tech Lead, Product Managers, and UX Designers to bring new features to life, keep our systems running smoothly, mentor junior team members, share your ideas, and see them executed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend and full-stack applications.

• Monitor and optimise system performance for high availability and reliability.

• Mentor junior engineers and conduct thorough code reviews.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies to enhance system architecture.

• Develop new features and continuously improve existing ones.

• Promote a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.

Technical Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• Solid experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, NestJS, AWS/Azure

• Familiarity with full cycle engineering, including test automation (unit, integration, and e2e tests).

• Experience building scalable, high-performance, and secure APIs.

• Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and NoSQL DBs like AWS DocumentDB.
