With 100+ customers in 75 countries, we're recognized for innovation and global impact—and we’re just getting started. We foster a collaborative and growth-oriented culture, allowing you to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team.

The role in a nutshell 🔍

As a Senior Software Automation Test Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our test strategy and driving quality across the engineering organization. From test architecture to automation coverage, you’ll ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and ready for anything before it reaches production.

You’ll design and implement automated tests, lead the development of robust testing frameworks, and collaborate with developers, BAs, and product managers to ensure early, continuous validation of features.

🎯 Your goal? To release with confidence, backed by strong test coverage, stable pipelines, and zero critical bugs in production.

You’ll work hands-on with modern frameworks (NUnit, SpecFlow, Selenium, Playwright), contribute to test infrastructure, and champion quality throughout the SDLC. As an active participant in Agile ceremonies like 3 Amigos and sprint planning, you’ll help define testable requirements and catch edge cases before a line of code is written.

You won’t just validate the "happy paths"—you’ll look deeper, think like a user, and find the edge cases others might miss.

💡 This role is ideal for a test engineer who thrives on autonomy, values precision, and sees QA not just as a gatekeeper—but as a core part of engineering excellence.

🙋‍♀️ Our Ideal Candidate Profile

You’re a technically sharp and quality-obsessed engineer who thinks in systems and strategies—not just test cases. You bring experience, curiosity, and a product mindset to your work. Whether debugging a flaky pipeline or mentoring others on test design, you lead by example and elevate quality across the team.

You’re comfortable owning test architecture, proposing automation improvements, and pushing back when something feels brittle or misaligned. You’re collaborative, proactive, and equally comfortable digging into test data or contributing to a story refinement session.

You drive quality conversations early and often, ensuring it's built into architecture, not tacked on at the end.

Why You’ll Love It Here 💙

  • A culture that values test automation and quality ownership
  • Exposure to platform refactoring and technical improvement projects
  • Friendly, collaborative team with space to grow and learn
  • Real impact and responsibility

📋 What you'll do

  • Actively contribute to existing and new automation test frameworks (Selenium-based) and help expand automation coverage
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable automated test strategies for end-to-end, API, integration, and regression testing, improving test stability, performance, and long-term effectiveness.
  • Own the creation of test plans and infrastructure setup for complex features, including configuration with tools like Azure Test Plans.
  • Drive the automation of test scenarios throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and long-term maintainability goals.
  • Lead test coverage strategy for multiple features, making strategic decisions to prioritize effectively between new development and technical debt, while identifying quality gaps and optimization opportunities with minimal overhead.
  • Solve complex automation challenges, making data-driven and innovative decisions to improve test stability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Tech Leads, developers, and business analysts to align testing with technical architecture and business requirements.
  • Mentor team members on automation best practices, contribute to code reviews, and investigate test failures and defects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Focus on quality by writing and maintaining tests that cover all key business scenarios and technical implementations.
  • Own and improve CI/CD testing pipelines, monitoring test execution and quality gates while identifying areas for continuous improvement and automation.
  • Maintain full transparency over task dues and progress, take ownership of completing tasks, and communicate early with the team or delegate tasks strategically when necessary.
  • Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies, such as 3 Amigos, sprint planning, and backlog refinement, offering guidance on testability and acceptance criteria, ensuring testability and quality are considered at every stage of development.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, tools, and metrics.

Requirements

🛠️ What you bring

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation, preferably focused on web applications.
  • Experience owning test strategy decisions, including prioritizing test coverage, balancing automation vs. manual efforts, and managing technical debt.
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills, ideally in C#.
  • Proven experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or similar test automation tools.
  • Experience working with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and SpecFlow, and test libraries/suites like TestNG, or REST-assured.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps, and integration of automated tests into build pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and hands-on experience with API testing.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python or PowerShell) to support and extend test automation
  • A problem-solving mindset — curious, analytical, and driven to get to the root of issues.
  • Strong communication skills in both Greek and English, written and verbal.
  • Collaborative and proactive team player who thrives in Agile environments and values learning, knowledge sharing, and growth.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while effectively contributing in a team-oriented setting.
  • Skilled in tracking, interpreting, and acting on quality metrics to drive continuous improvement in test coverage and effectiveness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
