The Senior Scrum Master will serve to facilitate scrum to the larger team by ensuring the scrum framework is followed. You will be committed to the scrum methodology, agile principles, and best practice and will remain flexible and open to opportunities for the team to improve their workflow.
This role involves supporting the teams in agile ways of working, as they work on the cloud transformation program. It will lay a strong foundation, and improve efficiencies using Kanban to support the cloud platform team.
Deliver
Serve and support the product owner (or product owner group) and development teams in their objective of providing solutions to the business
Operate at team level, be a change agent with a passion for working with one or two teams to help them deliver their best work
Evangelise
Assist with implementing a flexible agile framework that responds to business change
Coach the team on the Agile Values and Principles and look for opportunity to improve across the teams as a whole
Work with Agile Coach in assessing the agile maturity of teams and help coach teams to a higher level of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation
Support
Facilitate and run effective daily stand ups.
Work with the Product Owner to support prioritisation of the backlog
Stakeholder management and Senior Management reporting.
Provide support to the team and lead by example. You should personify scrum and agile
Guide and coach both the scrum team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the agile/scrum frameworks
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution – including management of dependencies with teams who are not yet using agile
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information
Relevant experience playing the scrum master role for a software development team
Experience working with infrastructure teams.
Experience working on cloud transformation programs
Experience working on other frameworks - Kanban, LeSS, Nexus / SAFe.
Experience using agile management tools Azure DevOps or JIRA
Experience reporting on various agile KPI’s

Technical Awareness - Is abreast with the latest developments in the IT industry and is familiar with methods for scaling scrum (e.g. nexus, safe) Has expertise using scrum with industry standard scrum tools. and can integrate scrum with other project methodologies. Is able to determine the suitability of scrum or other agile methodologies for projects across the portfolio
Make an Impact - able to adapt style to meet the needs of different audiences. Able to sell the use of scrum to stakeholders at all levels and is passionate about Agile principles and excited to embed them across the organisation
Mentoring Coaching - be keen to participate in the development and progress of team members
First level scrum master certification (PSM I, CSM, CSP or equivalent)
