As an Inbound Sales Development Representative (IB SDR), you'll be the first point of contact for potential customers who have shown interest in Personio, playing a crucial role in driving Personio's growth within all of our customer segment. Leveraging thorough account and industry research, you will develop and deliver tailored messaging that resonates with key stakeholders across different regions and sectors. Your industry expertise will inspire and engage decision makers at Germany's leading Mittelstand companies-opening doors, identifying opportunities, and initiating high-impact HR transformation projects that set the foundation for long-term partnerships.
The work you'll do:
  • You are the first point of contact for inbound leads and you are setting a high standard for responsiveness and customer experience.
  • Effectively handle common inbound sales objections to remove barriers and ensure opportunities move forward in the sales process.
  • Qualify and nurture inbound prospects by identifying key pain points, business objectives, and decision-making criteria-ensuring a strong alignment between their needs and Personio's solutions. Generate sales pipeline and create opportunities for the Account Executive team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on cutting-edge HR technology and best practices.
  • Develop and implement creative multi-threading strategies to engage multiple decision-makers within prospective accounts.
  • Engage with a diverse range of customer segments.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales teams to the continuous improvement of our inbound strategy.
  • Leverage advanced AI-driven inbound processes and tools to prioritize, personalize, and optimize your outreach-maximizing efficiency and conversion rates.

What we're looking for
  • Initial first experience in outbound or inbound B2B sales within SaaS, tech, or cloud solutions, (intern, working student, BDR, or SDR)
  • You are enthusiastic about software products.
  • You are an active listener who communicates purposefully and confidently and always acts proactively.
  • You have strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken German (C2 level) and English (B1+ level).
  • You are competitive, resilient, and highly driven - you thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus
