Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Risk Partner to partner with our Everyday Banking Product team joining the wider Products Sustainability and Marketing (PSM) business unit within Westpac New Zealand.
As an experienced and trusted senior leader and advisor, you’ll help enable Westpac New Zealand to deliver better, sooner, and safer experiences for our customers. You’ll lead a small team of skilled risk managers, operating within the broader PSM Risk and Compliance team to embed and mature risk management across PSM. Your expertise will see you enable strategic decisions, lead risk advisory and assurance activities for the Everyday Banking Product portfolio spanning consumer and business deposits, overdrafts, cards and loyalty. Advising on complex risk, compliance, and conduct issues, you’ll be crucial in enabling balanced risk, customer, and commercial outcomes.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
Experience in senior leadership roles and a proven people leader capable of forming and leading high performing teams.
Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation, including senior management.
Financial Services experience, with exposure to product, legal, risk management, audit or compliance.
Understanding of the regulatory and conduct landscape within the financial services industry.
Experience working with or within change and transformation programmes in senior roles.
