Job DescriptionAs a Senior Quality Engineer, you will drive quality excellence across client projects, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality requirements in the nuclear sector. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring client and supply-chain compliance with quality requirements through robust oversight and auditing.
- Managing Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans and Life-Time Quality Records.
- Leading quality surveillance activities at client and subcontractor sites across the UK and internationally.
- Facilitating non-conformance resolution and conducting root cause analyses.
- Supporting risk and opportunity reviews while embedding lessons learned.
- Leading supplier and internal audits to maintain quality benchmarks.
- Analyzing quality data to inform project management decisions effectively.
- Preparing comprehensive quality reports for stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in regulated sectors with expertise in quality management.
- Background in mechanical engineering or welding.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, plus ideally GS-R-3, and relevant standards.
- Process mapping experience.
- Strong understanding of quality tools (e.g., SPC, Histograms).
Desired Skills
- CSWIP 3.1 Senior Welding Inspector certification
- Experience in the Nuclear sector
- Practitioner Grade CQI membership or equivalent
- IRCA Registered Lead Auditor qualification.
- Engineering HNC/Diploma or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
- NDT qualifications (e.g., Level II/III in Radiography, Ultrasonics).
- Multilingual abilities, preferably French.
