Now is an exciting time to join Watercare, we're planning to spend $14 billion over the next 10 years to ensure we can continue to support our growing city in a climate-resilient way. When you average that out, that's an investment of $3.8 million every day!

Reporting to the Team Lead - Wastewater Planning Delivery, the focus of this role is to deliver high value and complexity wastewater planning projects in line with Watercare's Asset Management Plan (AMP).  Sitting in the Strategy and Planning unit, the Wastewater Planning Delivery team picks up projects from the business need stage and runs them through feasibility and the delivery of concept designs ahead of handover to our Detailed Design teams. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Progressing the delivery of planning activities associated with the AMP with a focus on highly complex and significant projects and programmes across our wastewater treatment plants and wastewater networks.

  • Ensuring that the feasibility phases of our AMP are progressing in a cost-efficient manner and to schedule. What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
