Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will focus on the strategy, development, and delivery of managed investment schemes provided by BTNZ, Westpac’s investment management arm. In this role you will drive the product lifecycle end-to-end, ensuring our offerings meet regulatory commitments while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

 

Day to day you’ll focus on the customer experience while managing the end-to-end aspects of delivery of products to market including meeting regulatory commitments, strategic planning, business analysis, pricing, risk management, governance, and stakeholder management.

 

While the role does not have direct reports, it may involve dotted-line leadership responsibilities, particularly in mentoring and guiding more junior team members. You’ll be expected to inspire a culture of high performance, influence stakeholders across the value chain, and support the Head of Product Investments in delivery that drives positive commercial, customer, operational and risk outcomes.

  • Previous experience in a product management role (in funds management and/or investments would be advantageous)

  • Strong understanding of investment markets and products available in New Zealand

  • Proven experience and ability to lead projects and deliver strategy and business outcomes in a large and complex organisation

  • A growth mindset with the ability to drive change through a large organisation

  • Strong time and stakeholder management skills to guide individuals to fast and effective outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
