Who We Are

The Solana Foundation is a non-profit based in Zug, Switzerland, dedicated to the adoption, decentralization, and security of the Solana network. Solana is a high performance blockchain that can deliver a fast and friendly user experience, without sacrificing security. The Solana Foundation is working to realize a world where individuals own their data, use permissionless networks, and transfer information and value freely around the world. We are looking for talented people who are willing to jump right in and use their expertise to help the ecosystem build.

The Opportunity

Solana Foundation is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape the web experiences that define how developers, institutions, and the broader ecosystem interact with Solana's products and infrastructure. You'll work directly on Foundation-owned products — including tokens.solana.com and other tools that serve a sophisticated, global user base.

This role is primarily UX-focused — you'll spend the majority of your time on research, information architecture, user flows, and interaction design, with strong visual sensibilities to bring those experiences to life. The ideal candidate has a track record of designing complex, data-rich B2B web products and understands the demands of institutional or professional-grade tooling.

To be successful in this roleYou will:
  • Own end-to-end UX design for Solana Foundation web products — from discovery and research through wireframes, prototyping, and final specs

  • Conduct user research, synthesize insights, and translate them into clear product decisions

  • Define information architecture, user flows, and interaction patterns for complex, data-intensive interfaces

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ship high-quality, well-considered experiences

  • Contribute visual design polish — typography, spacing, component systems — with a strong eye for detail

  • Maintain and evolve design systems across Foundation products for consistency and scalability

  • Advocate for the user in cross-functional discussions, balancing user needs with business goals and technical constraints

You ideally have:
  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating UX depth — user research, flows, wireframes, and shipped web products

  • Proven ability to design complex B2B or professional-grade web products (dashboards, data tools, workflow applications, etc.)

  • Experience designing for desktop/web environments; deep web design craft is essential

  • Strong systems thinking — ability to design for scale, edge cases, and varied user contexts

  • Deep familiarity with AI tools (design-to-code) and experience using basic frontend development languages (HTML, CSS, JS, etc…)

  • Comfortable working with and contributing to design systems in Figma

  • Excellent communication skills — able to clearly articulate design rationale to stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team alongside product managers and engineers

Bonus Points
  • Experience designing for institutional users — asset managers, financial institutions, compliance-focused products, or developer tooling

  • Familiarity with Web3, blockchain, or crypto products

  • Experience with token management, onchain data, or DeFi interfaces

  • Background designing products at the intersection of finance and technology

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
