Description

Are you a producer in games with a focus on player value, product quality and forging team alignment who is looking for an opportunity to work on one of the world’s most popular MMORPGs?

As a Senior Producer on Old School RuneScape you will act as the connective tissue between internal teams, cross-functional partners, and external collaborators. You’ll track dependencies, remove blockers, and guide delivery of multi-team initiatives.

As a motivator and mentor, you’ll leverage your production expertise to drive a culture of transparency, collaboration, and high-impact results on a game with huge community focus and proven success.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Champion the Product Vision: Collaborate with Production Leadership, Product Management, and Marketing to translate and uphold the Old School RuneScape vision for both internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on schedule, ensuring a shared understanding of product goals and priorities. Act as the final point of accountability for project outcomes, modelling servant leadership and fostering a healthy, collaborative environment.
  • Own and refine team work systems, processes, metrics, and goal setting — applying a deep toolbox of delivery techniques (e.g. Agile, Lean, or Waterfall) as needed to deliver high-quality features and content predictably.
  • Anticipate and mitigate resource blockers, quality concerns, and scope changes. Implement robust risk management practices with discipline leads, ensuring clear mitigation plans and effective communication.
  • Create and maintain production artifacts (roadmaps, dashboards, reports, release plans, etc) to monitor progress, capacity, and value delivered, enabling timely, data-informed analysis, forecasts, decisions and effective quality control. Work closely with QA to integrate testing and triage processes early, ensuring smooth releases and proactive quality management.
  • Develop strong relationships across the studio and with external partners. Scale development via outsourcing, review statements of work, and ensure seamless integration of third-party deliverables.
  • Lead multi-team retrospectives, root-cause analyses, and other forums that promote continuous improvement. Contribute to larger, long-term initiatives and drive positive cultural change.
  • Monitor and mitigate financial risks, aligning resources with product and business objectives to ensure sustainable, high-impact outcomes.
  • Represent Production across the studio — championing player-focused, data-informed decision-making, sharing best practices, and elevating cross-team collaboration.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven success and experience working in a production capacity in video games.
  • Demonstrable experience leading cross-discipline game teams in Art, Design, Engineering and more with a focus on building efficient work systems, elevating team performance, and delivering projects successfully.
  • Experience working on games with live operations / live services with examples of overcoming the challenges this entails.
  • Demonstrated skill in emotional intelligence, conflict management, relationship building and empathy.
  • Experience with various development methodologies and their applications (e.g. Agile software development, Lean, Six Sigma, etc).
  • Experience effectively utilising project and quality tracking software (JIRA or similar).
  • Knowledge and understanding of video games, the games industry and relevant gaming audiences.
  • Excellent experience building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience translating team vision into operating strategy.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
