  • In-house legal experience at a global, tech-enabled media or online services business .
  • Expert knowledge of UK and EU privacy law (UK GDPR, GDPR) and a solid grasp of other global frameworks (CCPA, LGPD, CPRA, etc.).
  • Experience providing legal advice at the intersection of product development, commercial strategy, and data regulation.
  • Strong commercial contract negotiation skills and familiarity with data processing and security terms.
  • Comfort operating independently, managing legal risk, and interacting with cross-functional senior stakeholders and regulators.
  • Experience using privacy OneTrust to support scalable, automated compliance.
  • CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar privacy certification is a plus.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
