We’re growing — and this newly created role will help shape the future of our Pension Administration operations. The Senior Planning Analyst looks ahead: exploring future scenarios, assessing the impact of new technologies, and helping leaders make confident decisions about where we go next.
Our Business Planning & Performance Team sits at the heart of our service delivery model. We give colleagues the forward‑looking analysis, strategic options and decision support they need to plan effectively, anticipate change and deliver an exceptional client experience.
If you enjoy connecting data, strategy and technology — and you’re excited by the idea of influencing how a large operational function evolves — this is the role for you.

This role can be based at either of our Cheltenham, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool or Leeds offices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse future scenarios to understand how changes in technology, regulation or client needs could shape our operating model.
  • Build structured scenario models to identify risks, opportunities, constraints and commercial implications.
  • Evaluate emerging technology and potential solutions — assessing feasibility, benefits, dependencies and operational impact.
  • Work with Process Owners and Operational IT to map current and future‑state journeys.
  • Provide strategic options and recommendations in clear, decision‑ready formats for senior leaders.
  • Support the development of business cases and prioritisation frameworks for future initiatives.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in scenario modelling or strategic planning.
  • The ability to evaluate technology solutions and understand their operational impact.
  • Experience analysing complex service‑delivery environments, operations or multi‑factor problems.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and facilitating workshops or discussions.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Business Intelligence or modelling tools is a bonus.
  • A forward‑looking mindset — curious, commercially aware
  • Financial Services experience is helpful but not essential.

What’s in it for you:

  • Competitive discretionary annual bonus

  • Generous pension scheme

  • Core benefits for you including private medical cover, life assurance, group income protection, and up to 30 days holiday per year with holiday trading

  • A comprehensive range of voluntary benefits to suit you (and your family) including an electric car leasing scheme, tech scheme, cycle to work scheme, dental cover, healthcare cash plan, health assessments, critical illness cover, Sports Allowance – we pay up to 50% of your gym/sports membership (up to £50 pm), travel insurance, paid volunteering, and a broad range of retailer discounts

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
