Moderna is seeking a Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing to join our Tax team in Warsaw, Poland. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be a key player within a high-growth organization that is reshaping the biotech industry.
Reporting to the Director of Tax Planning and Transfer Pricing, you will oversee the management of global transfer pricing planning, implementation, compliance, and controversy across all Moderna companies.
Operating in a fast-paced, multinational environment, you will work closely with business partners across Supply Chain, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, FP&A, R&D, Commercial, and HR to ensure that Moderna’s tax strategy aligns with our rapid global expansion. You will also collaborate with external advisors, applying a digital-first approach to tax and transfer pricing operations.
The Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing will play a key role in international tax planning projects, contributing to Moderna’s commitment to innovation and strategic excellence in global taxation.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Oversee the review and preparation of transfer pricing documentation and planning studies, ensuring regulatory alignment and risk mitigation.
Manage global transfer pricing operations, including entity function monitoring, arms-length pricing implementation, intercompany agreements, netting, and cash settlements.
Conduct detailed evaluations of intercompany transfers related to tangible goods, intangible assets/intellectual property, services, and loans.
Develop financial models to assess and price intercompany transactions.
Support transfer pricing audits and regulatory inquiries, ensuring proactive risk assessment and compliance.
Partner with senior leadership to present economic, financial, and accounting analyses, supporting strategic decision-making.
Enhance reporting capabilities to evaluate risk exposure and capitalize on business opportunities.
Ensure timely and accurate calculation, booking, and journal entry preparation for monthly and quarterly intercompany transactions.
Cultivate best-practice internal controls and documentation standards to ensure compliance.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Supporting local country transfer pricing requirements in alignment with Moderna’s global expansion.
Leveraging digital tools to streamline transfer pricing operations, enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Ensuring Moderna’s tax strategy evolves in response to changing global regulations and business needs.
Contributing to cross-functional collaboration, providing strategic tax insights to internal stakeholders.
Engaging in continuous learning and professional development to remain at the forefront of transfer pricing best practices.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following (Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Taxation, or a related field) required; JD or LL.M. in Taxation preferred
8+ years of experience in a transfer pricing role at Big 4 public accounting firm or corporate multi-national company, preferably in biopharma or life sciences industries
Strong knowledge of technology solutions that drive efficient transfer pricing compliance
