Position Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation sets the strategy and drives forward key growth initiatives that align The Home Depot’s US stores, International Operations, Home Services, and Outside Sales teams. This role will create data driven strategies which will improve customer experience and drive our culture of selling. In addition to strategy development, the Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation will lead key growth initiatives, work cross-functionally to drive results, and drive transformative change.
Key Responsibilities:

  • 30% - Cross-Functional Partnership - Provide day-to-day leadership across teams to implement solutions. Drive key initiatives forward by collaborating with stakeholders.
  • 50% - Deliver Key Strategic Initiatives - Develop customer back strategies using data and consumer insights to solve ambiguous problems. Lead multiple project workstreams related to transformational business development opportunities.
  • 20% - Executive Communication - Present progress and results of key strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

  • This Position typically reports to the Senior Director, Strategy & Transformation

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
     

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy and business case development
  • Intellectual curiosity and design to drive transformative change
  • Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Understanding of store operations, outside sales, and/or home services business functions
  • Demonstrated financial acumen
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functionally
     

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
     

Preferred Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
