About the role
We're looking for a highly strategic and metrics-driven Sales Development Manager (Team Lead) to join our team in London. We are accepting applications from experienced managers, as well as those, who are looking to step into their first Team Lead position!
This is a career-defining opportunity to join Airwallex’s EMEA team at an early stage and be deeply involved in building our sales machine into a large, successful, scaled, revenue-generating function.
The EMEA Sales Development Manager focuses on:
Leading a team of outbound SDR to create qualified opportunities for the sales team
Reporting to the Head of Sales Development to build out a high-performance team across all regions in EMEA

What You'll Be Doing...
You will be involved in developing a successful strategy to identify new customers
You will be hiring new talent and ensuring the continuous development and training of your team
You will implement and analyze KPIs to identify trends and monitor them to ensure monthly goals are met
You will work closely with the marketing team to develop lead-generation strategies and inbound activity to identify and attract potential new clients
By collaborating with the Account Executive team, you ensure an efficient handover of leads and optimisation of pipelines
You motivate your team members to go above and beyond and learn new things every day
What You'll Bring...
Relevant experience in leading an outbound SDR team, ideally in a start-up or scale-up environment
Experience in building and expanding a sales unit as well as solid coaching skills
Proven track record of hiring and developing early career sales talent
Experience in working cross-functionally with departments such as People and Talent, Marketing and Account Executives
Have excellent communication skills, written, numerical and verbal.
Know how to use Salesforce or another common CRM, Outreach/SalesLoft
Strong strategic thinking and ability to approach complex problems with easy and pragmatic solutions.
Ability to create a motivated and performance-driven working culture
Fintech or banking experience preferable
What You Have....
2+ years experience in a sales management or leadership role, ideally in a high-growth tech start-up, or proven track record of success as an IC
1+ year experience in the payments space
Prior experience as an individual contributor in Fintech is required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent holder
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Note: This role will require working from our London office 3 days a week.
