General Description:

We are looking for an ambitious Manager/ Senior FP&A to join our European finance team and strengthen the finance function in the UK & Ireland supporting the Finance Director of the UKI affiliate. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, highly-organized results driven individual with strong technical and good communication skills, judgment and problem-solving skills with the capacity to work in a non-structured environment.

Essential Functions of the job:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations supporting finance director.
• Provide commentary and explanations for financial results, highlighting key drivers and potential risks or opportunities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with business owner and business units to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, making adjustments as necessary.
• Assist in the creation of periodic forecasts to support agile decision-making.

Accounting and Administration:

• Collaborate with and support the central Accounting hub in Basel for the periodic closing activities including but not limited to revenues, gross to net reconciliation, accruals & deferrals, rebates, inventories and stock reconciliation, personnel costs, and monthly reconciliation of P&L and Balance sheet actual figures in relation to the transactions of SAP versus budget and forecasts.

Cost Management:

• Partner with department heads to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor and control departmental spending on a monthly basis (including related SAP and admin documents and transaction to investigate, i.e. Purchase orders etc.)

Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:

• Conduct special financial analyses and projects as requested by senior management.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with various departments such as accounting, sales, marketing, and operations to gather data and insights for analysis.

Profile :

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis in a multinational finance environment within the life sciences sector is mandatory.
• Experience in PowerBI analysis is a must.
• Experience in SAP is mandatory. (4HANA a plus)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software, ERP systems).
• Comfortable in operating in a non-structured fast paced environment.
• Willingness to be hands-on; desire to work in a changing environment
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, inventory, purchase-to-pay, taxation especially in pharma field, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Experience of delivering insightful point of view from data and ability to present analysis, information and reporting's in a clear and impactful way.
• Excellent technical and analytical skills in finance, forecasting, financial analysis and budgeting. An understanding of business disciplines in order to develop, analyze and interpret financial data.
• Good communication skills, ability to work well with all levels and departments within the company.

Computer Skills:

SAP S/4 Hana, Excel, Power BI,

Education Required:

Recognised UK accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or international equivalent.

Other Qualifications:

Good communication skills combined with cultural sensitivity, excellent spoken/written English

Travel:

Role will be home based, but successful applicant must be prepared to travel to and work in central London 2-4 days per month, and travel within Europe up to 5% of the time.
