Senior Manager, External Financial Reporting

About the requirement:

Passionate about accounting and financial reporting? Your next position could provide technical accounting and reporting expertise in a growing international digital infrastructure business. We are on the lookout for a collaborative and personable Senior ManagerExternal Financial Reporting to join our Boldyn Networks team. Based in our friendly Paddington Office, you’ll be seen as a go-to person for accounting and reporting issues in the business.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the Finance team, you’ll ensure that processes, procedures and team capacity are managed to meet internal and external reporting deadlines. Colleagues will know you for your high-quality outputs with minimal adjustments, and capability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and team members. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:

  • Leading and owning the preparation of annual IFRS statutory consolidated financial statements for the Boldyn Group and subsidiary companies.
  • Playing a key role in managing the annual Boldyn consolidated Group audit and the successful close out for all subsidiary business units audits.
  • Leading the consolidation process of the Boldyn Group, overseeing the preparation, proactively identifying and managing potential reporting issues and ensuring appropriate internal financial reporting controls are in place.
  • Understanding and assisting the implementation of the requirements of new accounting standards across the Boldyn Group.
  • Providing technical accounting and reporting expertise to all business units
  • Managing group tax provision preparation process with Group Tax and external tax advisors.
  • Leading the preparation of monthly/quarterly consolidated financial schedules under IFRS for companies within the Boldyn Group
  • Liaising with financial reporting teams of subsidiaries in the UK, US and other overseas operations
  • Reviewing recurring monthly journals, intercompany balance reconciliations and month end reconciliations for Group holding companies.
  • Reviewing the accounting adjustments in the Boldyn Group accounting books that require local GAAP translation to IFRS

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrable experience in a financial reporting environment
  • Proven experience in technical accounting and reporting under IFRS, US GAAP and UK GAAP.
  • ACA/CA/ACCA qualification (or international equivalent).
  • Knowledge of consolidation principles including dealing with multiple entities and currencies.
  • Ability to analyse information, probe for clarity, produce solutions, make judgements, and think systematically.
  • Collaborative and coaching working style that focuses on ensuring that team members understand processes and controls.
  • Competent in dealing with issues effectively, aptitude for working to time-pressured deadlines and high level of integrity.
