What you’ll doWe’re looking for a Senior Sponsorship Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and optimisation of Airwallex’s global sponsorship initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping how we leverage partnerships — from world-class sports teams to major business and tech platforms — to deliver measurable brand and business impact.
You will report to the Global Head of Brand & Experiences and work closely with regional marketing, brand, comms, and partnerships teams to ensure our sponsorship investments deliver against commercial and brand objectives.
The role is based in London.
Responsibilities:Strategy Development:
Define and evolve the global sponsorship strategy to align with Airwallex’s brand positioning and business goals.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new sponsorship opportunities across sports, business, and cultural platforms.
Activation & Execution:
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of sponsorship campaigns — from creative ideation to delivery across digital, media, events, and product integration.
Collaborate with internal creative, product, and comms teams to ensure activations drive engagement and resonate with customers.
Oversee rights delivery, ensuring Airwallex fully leverages all entitlements across media, digital, and experiential channels.
Measurement & Reporting:
Develop KPIs and measurement frameworks to assess sponsorship ROI, brand lift, and commercial impact.
Deliver insights and recommendations to optimise ongoing and future sponsorship investments.
Agency & Partner Management:
Manage day-to-day relationships with sponsorship partners (e.g., sports teams, event organisers, media owners).
Brief, guide, and oversee agency partners (creative, media, activation) to ensure seamless execution.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with product, growth, and regional marketing teams to integrate sponsorship into GTM plans.
Support C-level and regional leaders in leveraging sponsorship platforms for customer and investor engagement.
We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications:7–10+ years of experience in sponsorship, brand partnerships, or sports/entertainment marketing (agency or brand side).
Proven track record of managing large-scale sponsorships from negotiation through to activation and reporting.
Strong commercial and analytical mindset — comfortable assessing ROI and driving business impact.
Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders and external partners.
A strategic thinker who can also get hands-on to deliver.
Outstanding project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with sports and/or B2B partnerships is strongly preferred.
Experience working in high-growth, dynamic, and cross-functional environments.
