About Golin

We’ve won multiple Cannes Lions and been named one of the Bravest Agencies on the Planet by Contagious. But for us, it’s not about trophies, it’s about creating work that earns its place in culture and has real business impact.

We work with some of the most innovative technology brands in the world, helping them tell their stories, shape their reputations and stand out in a crowded marketplace. From global giants to disruptive scale ups, our clients trust us to connect them with the audiences that matter most.

Our Tech practice is growing and we’re looking for a Senior Manager (Account Director)  with a passion for media relations. This is a role for someone who lives and breathes the media agenda, someone who gets a buzz from pitching stories, landing top tier coverage and building strong journalist relationships.

The Role

This is not just a Senior Manager role, this is a media led opportunity. You’ll be the engine driving media engagement across a portfolio of high profile tech clients. You’ll combine sharp media instincts with tech sector knowledge to deliver stories that resonate, coverage that counts and results clients can see.

You’ll be client facing, managing day to day relationships while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring every story lands with impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead proactive and reactive media engagement across tech press

  • Build and nurture strong journalist contacts, becoming a go to for media

  • Spot and shape newsworthy opportunities for clients, crafting sharp narratives that cut through

  • Manage client communications and provide trusted counsel on media strategy

  • Draft press releases, media pitches, thought leadership content and Q&As

  • Ensure seamless campaign delivery, tracking results and reporting coverage with impact

  • Mentor and guide account executives and juniors, sharing best practice in media relations

  • Collaborate with strategy and content teams to deliver integrated PR programmes

 What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in tech PR, ideally with agency experience

  • A proven track record in media relations. Pitching, placing and nurturing coverage at scale

  • Strong network of journalist contacts across business, national and trade press

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to craft compelling stories from complex tech topics

  • Confident client handler. Trusted, proactive and commercially aware

  • Passion for technology and innovation, with the ability to translate jargon into engaging stories

  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast paced, media first environment

 Why Join Us
  • Work with some of the most exciting brands in technology, from household names to innovators shaping the future

  • Take on a role where media is at the centre, not an afterthought

  • Be part of a team that celebrates creativity, results and media impact

  • Build your career in a supportive, ambitious agency with global reach

This is the perfect role for a Tech PR specialist who gets a genuine thrill from seeing a story land and wants a chance to do that at scale for world class brands.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
