About
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Legal Counsel who specialises in Employment, Compliance & Privacy throughout EMEA to join our Legal & Finance team and play a key role in supporting our people operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance across the region.
This opportunity involves advising on employment law and data privacy matters across multiple EMEA jurisdictions, leading compliance initiatives, and partnering closely with HR, leadership, and external counsel. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our policies, contracts, and internal processes are legally sound, scalable, and aligned with best practices.

You Will
- Provide legal counsel on employment law across EMEA, covering hiring, contracts, workplace policies, terminations, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, GDPR, and other privacy regulations, including conducting vendor privacy and security assessments.
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including employment, consultancy, contractor, vendor, and data protection agreements (DPAs).
- Manage cross-border data transfer arrangements (e.g., SCCs, IDTA) and support contract negotiations with privacy implications.
- Lead compliance initiatives such as internal investigations, training programs, audits, and risk assessments.
- Advise on legal and ethical aspects of AI-related initiatives, including data use, model governance, and regulatory alignment.
- Collaborate with HR, leadership, and cross-functional teams to align legal risk with business goals in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- Monitor legal developments in employment, privacy, and compliance, and manage external counsel in litigation or regulatory matters as needed.
You Must Have
- Law degree from a recognized university and qualification to practice in an EMEA jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience in employment law, compliance, and privacy, preferably in an international tech company or law firm.
- Strong understanding of GDPR and global data privacy regulations.
- Experience in HR compliance, employment litigation risk management, and internal investigations.
- Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proactive and business-friendly approach.
- Ability to work remotely and independently while collaborating across teams.
