Our talented and diverse UX team delights users one design at a time, while building and enhancing a UX culture within Roku that nurtures our ongoing enrichment and elevates the UX maturity across the company and the industry.

About the Role
Roku is seeking a talented Senior Product Interaction Designer with good analytical skills or background to craft exceptional user experiences across our streaming TVs and devices. The ideal candidate will help create top-tier designs for our TV Search product for our 90 million users, apply their user design expertise to collaborate with product managers and engineering, and examine user research and product performance metrics..
You will create designs that not only uphold key principles such as simplicity, usability, and delight, but also increase business KPIs. A proven track record in delivering impactful consumer experiences and project collaboration is essential.
We are looking for an independent individual who is both capable of driving projects forward autonomously, and actively collaborating with multiple stakeholders towards project completion. This role requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that our products continue to set the standard for excellence in the streaming industry.
What you’ll be doing
- Explore user interaction design directions, analyzing the pros and cons of each, to arrive at creative, thoughtful design solutions
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, specs, and/or lightweight prototypes
- Analyze interaction models, document detailed use case logic and product designs
- Provide and receive feedback in regular design critiques with peers and stakeholders
- Examine qualitative and quantitative data to make user-centered design decisions that meet business objectives
- Partner during end-to-end project process with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand product requirements and build unique experiences that inform, entertain, and delight our customers
- Contribute at every step of the product lifecycle from general product discovery, research, ideation and AB tests
- Partner with user researchers to determine and execute the ideal research method to gather customer insights or evaluate designs
We’re excited if you have
- Expertise and relevant industry experience as a user interaction designer for consumer product
- Proficiency in Figma
- A passion for the end-to-end user experience
- Good analytical skills for thinking through complex interaction paths, use cases, and detailed design documentation.
- A technical or analytical educational background
- Familiarity with the streaming TV experience and TV UI design
- Expertise in collaborating with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers, and being proactive and autonomous during the end-to-end project process.
- Good communication skills for documenting, sharing and discussing product designs with partners in product management and engineering.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and relentless attention to detail
- Comfort operating in a highly dynamic and self-managing environment
