Senior Insights Analyst, EMEA Global Marketing

REPORTS TO: Manager, Global Attitudinal Research and EMEA

Ingredion’s Global Insights Center of Excellence (CoE global Marketing) is seeking a highly motivated Consumer and Market Insights professional to join our team. The Global Insights CoE cultivates Voice of Consumer and Voice of Customer insights based on primary proprietary research, understanding of markets is by also utilizing secondary sources of information and data.
 

The focus for this role will be on EMEA ensuring deeper learning and understanding of the local markets as well as to offer the best support for the regional business. You will have the opportunity to work with members of our Marketing/BD/Sales teams and other key partners across our marketing segments and business platforms within region; supporting key initiatives with knowledge of the marketplace and consumers.

The individual will also have opportunities to collaborate with the Global team on projects as appropriate, as well as contribute to the insights support of the global Savory category.

Core responsibilities: 

Consumer and Customer Studies 

  • Execute consumer studies via our Online Panel Provider; this includes designing questionnaires, programming, fielding and final reporting
  • Identify, clarify, and communicate research objectives, and establish research scope
  • Oversee the design, management, and presentation of results of custom primary studies
  • Manage relationships with external research companies, including the selection of agencies, communication of requirements/specific requests evaluating agencies post study
  • Challenge agencies to ensure best approach, execution, and analysis of consumer research
  • Drive business decisions through consumer and market insights
  • Identify ways of interpreting and making recommendations in a concise and easy to understand reports on potential opportunities, and supplying thought-leadership contents to EMEA Marcomms team

Data Analysis and Insights Cultivation

  • Research, analyze, and communicate market data (e.g., new product launches, market sizing, import/export data, point of sale (POS) data, trend info, social media, consumer behavior, proprietary primary research, etc.)
  • Integrate data and learnings from multiple sources to generate strategic insights (e.g., POS data, trend info, social media, consumer behavior, proprietary primary research, etc.)

Qualified candidates need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advanced degree in Psychology, Statistics, Consumer Research is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience (agency or in-house) in quantitative market research
  • Hands-on experience running quantitative studies e2e
  • Experience with B2B / B2C multinational companies
  • Strong experience in data analytics and reporting (e.g. use of Excel and PowerBI highly beneficial)
  • General understanding of statistical references (weighting, sig differences, correlations, regressions)
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) and use of online POS platforms to build search parameters. Knowledge of key measures (e.g., ACV, TPD, velocities) and attributes.
  • Experience and comfort with online DIY Survey programming tools (no coding necessary)
  • Familiar with social analytics and machine learning
  • An ability to design, organize, and analyze large data sets
  • Excellent oral and written English

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience in running qualitative research studies
  • Pharma / health / nutrition, Food & beverages of Food ingredients indusry knowledge is highly beneficial

  • Strong time management & project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A desire to challenge status quo to optimize insights deliverables
  • Data savviness with proven mathematical and analytical skills
  • Curious by nature and passionate about market research
  • Analytical and logical, and able to see the big picture amidst details
