About This Role

Join our Commercial Aviation division in Gatwick (Crawley, West Sussex) as Senior Manager HR ‒ Europe. The role offers hybrid working with on-site presence required 2-3 times a week.

The position provides HR leadership, and strategic partnership to the Vice-president Commercial Aviation, Europe & Middle East region (EMEA) and his team, covering 15 locations. You will be responsible for overseeing delivery of HR service to the EMEA team, including talent management, engagement, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, change management, and decisions on the human capital.

This leadership scope includes multiple established locations as well as growing our business in new countries. This role will include deep integration within the HR teams of other segments, global HR team, and leadership for a HR team of ten. This role will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Aviation- Global and oversee a team of 10 HR professionals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate at the regional leadership table– contribute to strategy formulation & execution, influence clients and colleagues, diagnose and resolve problems, and positively influence change.
  • Provide constructive advice & coaching for the leadership team, regional employees, and HR team.
  • Create & own an HR strategy for the EMEA region as well as execution of the global HR mandate that drives business results through people.
  • Develop and leverage the global HR network to drive the global strategy, offer support to the global HR organization, and establish services level agreements with internal/external resources.
  • Contribute to the development of the EMEA HR strategy by developing and deploying the strategic initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, facilitate and coordinate the work of the EMEA HR team.
  • Assess current talent & anticipate future talent needs and organizational design, performance management, and sourcing strategies to drive the talent agenda.
  • Review HR processes and policies regarding current legislation, business needs, effectiveness & (cost) efficiency as well as potential for alignment and shared services across sites and countries.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

10 years’ experience in Regional HR role working across different locations and employment legislation in Europe.

  • Acts as intermediary and advocate between Corporate offices and the region.
