Job Title:                  Senior General Ledger Accountant

Location:                 Belfast(Hybrid) – Some travel to the Belfast office will be required

Our Opportunity       

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join the Imperva team international finance team in Belfast. The role will report to the Accounting Manager (International) and will also work closely with the wider finance team.

Key tasks/Responsibilities:      

  • Ensure proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger.

  • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and monthly/quarterly variance analyses, documenting meaningful explanations for fluctuations.

  • Ensure that general ledger and sub-ledger accounts are reconciled, and reconciling items are resolved on a timely basis, taking full ownership for assigned GL areas.

  • Assist in meeting tight month-end reporting deadlines, including taking ownership of assigned reporting packages.

  • Involvement in several accounting projects that are currently underway: including the implementation of a new ERP and reorganisation of the legal entities.

  • Additional duties as required by manager and GL teams.                                                                                                                                                                                                    

About You                                                                                                                                                                   

You will have a degree and you will be fully qualified through a recognised financial institution e.g. ACA, ACCA, CAI, CIMA. Ideally you will have some post qualification experience in a relevant Accounting role. Experience with NetSuite and Oracle is advantageous but not essential. You should have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Security Clearance statement 

As standard, all successful candidates must possess the permanent right to work in the UK, and will be required to go through Government security clearance at BPSS (Baseline Personal Security Standard) Level prior to starting with us and then to obtain full Security Clearance (SC) in line with the United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) requirements above. 

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.  In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.  As part of the vetting process you will be asked to provide evidence of your identity, eligibility to work in the UK, time spent abroad over the last 5 years, as well as employment and / or educational history.
