This means creating features that help marketers easily craft, adapt, and optimize high-performing ads and enabling more meaningful, creative, and effective conversations between brands and their audiences.
We are technology agnostic and always strive to choose the best tools for the job. On the backend, our favoured stack is Node.js in combination with TypeScript usually coupled with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ. On the front-end side of things, React with TypeScript is the flavour du jour.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer you will:- Have end-to-end ownership on expanding Conversational Ads experience for advertisers
- Be involved in an innovative project that is central to Smartly’s growth
- Design and build data-intensive microservices systems
- Work on integration with Meta advertising API and services from multiple Smartly teams
- Build internal tooling and abstractions to enable scalable, safe, and efficient use of GenAI technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and advertisers to understand campaign objectives, target audience demographics, and messaging requirements.
- Apply and enhance your soft skills through working closely with your colleagues and our customers. Doing knowledge shares, running productive meetings, and pair programming/debugging are just some ways we grow.
- Be part of an international, dynamic team with people who don’t take themselves too seriously and love to help each other.
- Experience in backend development using modern technologies. We use mostly NodeJS and Typescript, but we are open to hear more about technologies used by you
- Contribute into UI development (React, Typescript) to ensure best user experience for our biggest customers and partners
- Experience in building robust, complex and distributed web applications
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and translating ambiguous problems into scoped, testable engineering initiatives.
- Motivation for solving customers problems and delivering value to customers at a fast pace
- Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid capacity from our Helsinki office 3 days a week.
