What do we need
Dotmatics is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java/React) to join our agile development team and contribute to Dotmatics’ product ecosystem. The ideal person will have a 50/50 split of front end and backend experience.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that meet our company's needs, with a focus on ensuring quality code and contribution to the technical solution from design through to implementation. In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with developers across the wider teams on best practices and processes.
In this role you will get to
- Collaborate with the software development team in designing, developing, implementing high-quality software solutions utilising an agile delivery methodology.
- Collaborate with product management, application science and support stakeholders to develop and maintain product features.
- Contribute to the development of software architecture and design principles for the organization.
- Solve challenging customer issues using a rapid delivery model.
- Ensure the scalability, maintainability, and security of software solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other software engineers.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Help ensure the quality of the team's output.
We are looking for people who have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent working experience and 7+ years of experience in software development, you will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills and a focus on Java and React.
The key skills we are looking for:
- 50/50 Front end - Backend experience
- Advanced Java/Spring Boot
- React and React patterns/concepts
- Javascript and other modern front-end frameworks
- Automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Databases (Oracle)
- High-level web application design
- Scaling applications to process large volumes of data and events
- RESTful APIs
- CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins
- Agile software development methodologies and practices
You may also have experience in
- Kubernetes/Docker
- Microservices architecture
- AWS and various components inside of AWS
