We are seeking experienced Senior Frontend Engineers to join our Tech & Product team. As part of a strategic investment in our technology, we are expanding our teams to enhance our platform and deliver innovative eCommerce solutions that will define the future of online shopping.
In this role, you will work with modern frontend technologies, designing and implementing high-performance, scalable user interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and adhere to best practices to ensure the delivery of robust, maintainable, and efficient software. ResponsibilitiesLead the development of product features, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and post-deployment optimisation.
Take ownership of complex problems, propose scalable solutions, and anticipate potential issues before they arise.
Think beyond code: prioritise scalability, security, performance, and maintainability in all solutions.
Collaborate within an Agile environment, contributing to the continuous improvement of ESW’s suite of eCommerce products as a valued member of a product team.
Work closely with Product Owners and QA Engineers, demonstrating autonomy and strong collaboration skills.
Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
Embrace Test Driven Development methodologies and deliver high-quality, well-tested code.
Apply your expertise in Angular and Svelte to create exceptional user experiences.
8+ years of commercial experience in frontend development.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Strong proficiency in Angular.
- Nice to have, but not mandatory: experience with Svelte.
Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
Experience with state management, component-driven architecture, and performance optimisation.
Familiarity with modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for solving complex problems.
