Flexible hours – Remote

We’re looking for creative, curious and collaborative senior designer to join our friendly, design-loving bunch at Signifyd. This is a freelance role, so it’s perfect if you want interesting, varied projects without committing to a full-time gig.

If you love great design, enjoy trying new ideas, and want to work with people who care about what they make (and have fun along the way), we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll get up to

Brand design

  • Explore and design original ideas for new campaigns that stand out and connect with our audience
  • Bring our brand to life visually so it reflects our values and personality
  • Help shape and develop our visual identity so it’s consistent across everything we make
  • Turn ideas into visuals that grab attention and create effective visuals for things like websites, social posts, ads, presentations, infographics, event graphics, and more
  • Quickly sketch, mock up, or prototype ideas so they’re easy to share and discuss
  • Spot design trends and explore fresh ideas to keep our creative work looking sharp
  • Create branding for events — from logos and guidelines to signage, invites and promotional materials

Creative process

  • Take projects from concept to finished piece with care and attention to detail
  • (If you’re more experienced) Offer creative direction and support to other designers or freelancers on joint projects

Working together

  • Keep our design assets organised so the team can find and use them easily
  • Share ideas, give and receive feedback, and collaborate with other teams to make the work even better
  • Work independently on your projects, keeping things on time and on budget
About youYou’ve spent around 6–8 years (or more) in a graphic design role. You're confident making creative calls independently and can guide others when needed. Your track record shows you're experienced in senior freelance roles.
  • You’re a team player who enjoys bouncing ideas around but can also run with a brief independently
  • You’re creative, resourceful and curious about finding the right solution
  • You’re comfortable asking questions, sharing your thinking, and listening to feedback
  • You like exploring how a brand can show up in fresh, interesting ways
  • You can adapt quickly and enjoy variety in your work
Skills & experience that would be great
  • A good portfolio that shows your style, problem-solving, and range
  • Experience designing for both digital and print. That should include lots of experience designing for web, email, digital presentations and display advertising.
  • Knowledge of design tools (we use Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Slack and Google Suite)
  • An eye for detail and a love of good typography and layout
  • Comfortable working on different kinds of projects, from quick social graphics to bigger campaign concepts

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
