Senior Financial Analyst

About the role:
As the Senior Financial Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of the forecast and actuals process, ensuring financial rigor and accuracy across the UKI business. You will work closely with finance business partners, finance leadership, and the accounting organization to animate financial performance, ensuring timely reporting, process efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
Financial Close & Actuals Management:
- Partner with Accounting and Finance Business Partners to support the month-end financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist in reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis, providing insights into key drivers of performance.
- Ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and budget to maintain financial accuracy and transparency.
Financial Forecasting & Reporting:
- Support the forecasting process, ensuring timely and accurate projections of revenue, costs, and margin performance.
- Develop monthly and quarterly financial reports, delivering key insights to finance leadership and commercial teams.
- Assist in tracking operational expenses and investments, providing clear visibility into financial performance.
- Support & drive financial acumen and accountability with the sales team
Reporting & Automation Development:
- Assist in the development and evolution of financial reporting tools and dashboards, leveraging automation to improve efficiency.
- Partner with IT, Sales, and Finance Business Partners to refine reporting processes and enhance data visualization.
- Drive consistency and best practices in reporting methodologies, ensuring alignment with regional and global finance teams.
Ad Hoc Projects & Business Support:
- Support ad hoc financial analysis to support evolving business needs, identifying risks and opportunities across financial operations.
- Partner with finance leadership and business partners to drive key initiatives related to cost control, process improvements, and reporting standardization.
- Assist in cross-functional finance projects, ensuring alignment between operational finance, FP&A, and commercial business units.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ of experience in financial planning, analysis, or financial operations, preferably within consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce industries.
- Strong understanding of financial close processes, forecasting, and reporting methodologies.
- Experience working with financial reporting tools such as Power BI, Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience in financial modeling and automation of reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to process improvements and financial accuracy.
