The Senior Digital Consultant supports data-led engagements by aligning stakeholders, clarifying objectives, and improving project visibility through facilitation and communication.
About the Role
We’re looking for a senior, client-facing role focused on supporting a large, data-led engagement by bringing structure, clarity, and alignment across stakeholders, priorities, and initiatives.
The role works closely with solution architects and data engineering leads, while also engaging client stakeholders to help shape direction, surface opportunities, and improve visibility of work across the engagement.
The environment is fast-moving and requires adaptability, strong prioritisation, and confidence working across both technical and stakeholder contexts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work closely with solution architects and data engineering leads to understand and lead platform direction, technical constraints, and emerging opportunities.
- Engage with client stakeholders to build understanding, alignment, and trust across different groups and priorities.
- Support the shaping of initiatives by helping uncover needs, clarify objectives, and translate them into clearer areas of focus or potential projects.
- Facilitate and lead discussions and working sessions that help clarify priorities, direction, and expectations.
- Improve visibility of ongoing work by producing clear artefacts such as summaries, decks, strategic overviews, and engagement updates.
- Act as a point of continuity and structure within the engagement, helping ensure work feels connected rather than fragmented.
- Identify gaps, friction, or misalignment and address them through conversation, facilitation, and lightweight structure.
- Support the team by introducing pragmatic ways of working where helpful (e.g. clearer documentation, clearer ownership, simple planning structures).
- Operate with autonomy, adapting approach based on what the engagement needs rather than following a fixed template.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience in a senior client-facing role within data, digital, or technology-led environments.
- Comfortable engaging with technical roles such as solution architects, data engineers, and data scientists.
- Ability to operate across both business and technical conversations without needing to be a hands-on technical specialist.
- Experience bringing structure to situations where priorities, direction, or ownership are not clearly defined.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, particularly in stakeholder discussions.
- Ability to create clear written artefacts for senior audiences.
- A pragmatic, adaptable mindset and comfort working in evolving environments.
- Background in consulting, digital strategy, product, transformation, or technical engagement roles.
Desirable
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and ecosystems (e.g. Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, analytics platforms).
- Experience operating across multiple parallel initiatives rather than owning a single delivery stream.
- Exposure to AI, data platforms, or advanced analytics environments.
