What you’ll work on
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for streamlining and optimizing our software development and deployment processes. You will lead efforts to build robust CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and enhance the stability and security of HALO’s applications. This role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, driving innovation, and ensuring our infrastructure is resilient, scalable, and efficient.
Day to Day
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the seamless integration of code, automation of testing, and efficient deployment of applications across environments.
- Build and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, enhancing automation and standardization across deployments.
- Develop, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, primarily within AWS, while monitoring and maintaining system performance, security, and scalability.
- Write and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate repetitive tasks and optimize system performance.
- Implement security best practices, monitoring tools, and quality gates within pipelines to ensure systems remain secure and compliant.
- Collaborate with development, product, and technical support teams to ensure an efficient workflow, while mentoring junior engineers in DevOps practices.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues within cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployed applications.
- Review and optimize DevOps processes regularly to enhance performance, reduce costs, and support agile development methodologies.
About You
- Extensive experience with AWS services and IaC tools.
- You take a proactive approach to automating tasks
- Strong understanding of security practices for cloud-based applications and DevOps workflows, with a commitment to implementing robust security measures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with a passion for finding and fixing issues quickly and efficiently.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, with the ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to cross-functional projects.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer,)
- Familiarity with development tools (Git, Bitbucket, JIRA) and methodologies (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools and configuration
